Improving Patient Recovery Times & Future Proofing Health Infrastructure through Flexible Design and Effective Stakeholder Communication

Why are we holding Health Facilities Design and Development – Brisbane ‘11?

IQPC’s success in delivering thought leading and industry best practice health infrastructure forums continues with Health Facilities Design and Development 2011 – Brisbane. Based on our phenomenal success in our 2009 & 2010 events, coupled with the ongoing success of the 2011 Australian Healthcare Week event in Sydney, June’s Brisbane Health Facilities Design and Development will again take greater focus on QLD health infrastructure projects.

With the needs of staff, patients and visitors changing over time it is important you understand how to adapt to this change. Whether you are expanding, building, maintaining or retrofitting health facilities there is serious pressure on government, the facilities and employees within the health sector to meet these needs.

As projects move through their lifecycle from the business and master plan stages to design, construction and operational phases this year’s eye opening educational forum will provide you with the perfect platform to share knowledge, experiences, challenges and solutions to the problems you face.

Health Facilities Design and Development is a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals, construction contractors, architects, consulting engineers, state and federal government to share insights and strategies on how to collaborate effectively to achieve the shared objectives.

What Is the Main Focus of the Conference?

Sustainable design, construction and development of health facilities is key to achieving patient centricity and to meet the government guidelines; it is therefore essential that you fully understand how to plan, design, construct, redevelop, manage and co-ordinate with all stakeholders effectively.

This event will share invaluable information from organisations that have developed solutions to successfully manage and overcome these issues.

  • Future proofing health facilities through innovative and sustainable design features
  • Ensuring patient and staff centricity within the design process to assist with improved recovery time
  • Enhancing communication and interpretation between all stakeholders for a smoother project process

What Topics will be Covered?

The sessions will cover the central challenges faced by all stakeholders involved in the planning, design, development and commissioning of hospital facilities! Presentations, panel sessions and discussions will combine to cover themes such as future proofing, delivery models, infection control, funding, design challenges, innovative techniques/technologies and more. You will hear a range of experiences and perspectives from across Australia and overseas, all maintaining a case study focus with learning outcomes that can help your project with practical advice and insights into common pitfalls and areas of difficulty.

Session topics include:

  • Managing User Groups throughout Design and Development of Healthcare Facilities
